Chippenham is a thriving town with a population of around 40,000. It has grown greatly
over recent years probably due to its easy access to the M4 motorway. It is also on the main Bristol to London railway line.
The town is well known as a market town with a weekly cattle market still held.
The town has a number of very historic properties linked in with th more modern. There are a good number
of shops in the town and th centre has been pedestrianised to make shopping a more pleasant experience,
The River Avon flows through Chippenham and an excellent park runs alongside. This is on the Sustrans
cycle route so safe cycling to Calne or Lacock is an enjoyable experience.
